The session of the Federal National Council of the United Arab Emirates was completed after His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, issued Federal Decree No. 122 of 2019 today, forming the members of the Federal National Council for the seventeenth legislative term.
The decree stipulated that the Federal National Council for the seventeenth legislative term shall consist of forty members representing all emirates of the country, including 20 women, constituting 50 percent of the total membership. The Federal National Council was convened for a session on Thursday, November 14. The Federal National Council is composed of forty members, half of whom are elected and the other half appointed, with the Council’s seats distributed among the emirates.
The decree included the names of the members of the Federal National Council for 2019 as follows:

Saqr Ghobash Saeed Al Marri, Dr. Ali Rashid Abdullah Al Nuaimi, Dr. Hawa Saeed Salem Al Dahak Al Mansouri, Khalfan Rashid Khalfan Al Nayli Al Shamsi, and Suhail Nakhira Ayda Suhail Al Afari. Moza Mohammed Saeed Hamro Al Ameri, Meera Sultan Nasser Mohammed Al Suwaidi, and Naema Abdulrahman Mohammed Al Mansouri.
Dubai
Osama Ahmed Abdullah Al Shafar, Hamad Ahmed Sultan Obaid Al Rahoumi Al Muhairi, Jamila Ahmed Mohammed bin Omair Al Muhairi, Sarah Mohammed Amin Falaknaz, Dr. Tariq Humaid Mohammed Mattar Al Tayer, Dharar Humaid Abdullah Humaid Balhol, Aisha Mohammed Saeed Al Mulla, and Maryam Majid Khalfan Bin Thaniya.
