Several members of the Federal National Council (FNC) emphasized that the “One Billion Meals” campaign embodies many of the noble humanitarian values and principles that have guided the UAE’s relationship with peoples and communities around the world, providing aid and assistance to the needy and disadvantaged. They explained that such campaigns are nothing new to His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, as his charitable initiatives have become a message to the entire world, raising awareness of the importance of supporting and extending a helping hand to those in need.
FNC member Naema Abdulrahman Al Mansouri emphasized that the launch of the campaign embodies the sustainability of Emirati giving and extending a helping hand to all those in need around the world.
Aisha Mohammed Al Mulla, a member of the Federal National Council, said: “From a land of goodness and tolerance, with generous rulers who work day and night to ensure the comfort of their citizens, generosity and giving are not uncommon to them. They have embodied the finest examples of humanity, extending a helping hand to those in need, regardless of material losses. They only save lives, even though they are not held accountable for them. The UAE has earned a strong reputation among countries around the world, renowned for the tolerance and generosity of its rulers and people.”
A Message to the World
Ahmed Al Shehhi, a member of the Federal National Council, said that the UAE has always been a pioneer in doing good, and this is nothing new for His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. We are accustomed to such initiatives as Ramadan approaches, and His Highness’s charitable initiatives have become a message to the entire world.
“The land of goodness produces only goodness,” said Dr. Moza Mohammed Al Ameri, a member of the Federal National Council. She said that generosity, giving, and empathy for those in need around the world and extending a helping hand to them are nothing new to His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. And even to Their Highnesses the Rulers of the UAE in general.
The Land of Giving
Maryam Majid bin Thaniya, a member of the Federal National Council, said: “The UAE proves day after day that it is a land of goodness and humanity, a source of giving, and a benefactor to people in various parts of the world. It is a major supporter and strong backer of those in need in many countries.”
